July: Flourish & Flow

As we move through July, I just want to say thank you. Whether you’ve been practicing with me for years or have only recently unrolled your mat — I see you, and I’m so grateful you’re here.

Do Your OM Thing was born from a deep belief that yoga should meet you exactly where you are. It doesn’t matter what you’re wearing, whether you can touch your toes, or how much energy you woke up with. This practice is — and always will be — accessible, inclusive, and deeply human.

July brings the fire of summer. Some of us might feel inspired to rise with the sun and move more freely, while others may crave slower rhythms, more shade, and moments of stillness. There’s no right way to be — just your way.

After the expansive energy of the June solstice, July is our invitation to integrate and balance. It’s a time when the seeds we planted start to ripen and bloom. We’re reminded to balance the outward energy of growth and doing with inward tending and being. This is the moment to slow down, let your hard work sink in, and allow it to support you.

Simple ways to cool and calm this month:

  • Try Sitali breathing, a traditional yogic technique that cools and calms the body and mind — perfect for hot days or moments of frustration.

  • Practice a reclined twist to soothe the spine, aid digestion, and release heat from the body.

  • Eat seasonally — enjoy light, cooling foods like watermelon, cucumber, and fresh herbs. Email me for my watermelon and basil salad recipe for a refreshing treat after our Wednesday evening yoga class.

Do Your OM Thing Yoga memebers pay £45 per month to receive access to all of my Wednesday classes (in person and on zoom), access to the online library of classes, a monthly eBook, class passes for friends and discounts on my workshops. Email me to join in, we'd love to have you!

Love,

Rosie xo
