More than meets the eye...

There’s more to yoga than meets the eye. More than meets the eye is a common idiom that hints at inner eyes, a recognition that the anatomical eyes can only see so much.

This month in class we’re learning how fluctuations of the eyes contribute to the production of thoughts and mind activities. In yoga and meditation, when the eyes flicker, flutter, dance, dart rapidly to and fro, they indicate restlessness, distraction or heightened activation in the mind.

By the end of class tonight you’ll have an appreciation for the intrinsic and extrinsic eyes muscles.

You’ll also be aware of how dominant we are in the visual field; I’ll believe it when I see it with my own eyes. Well… some of the things we might be seeking, we can’t see for looking when we look out… but are found instead when we look in.

I'm looking forward to seeing you in class tonight. There's plenty of space for you to attend in person, or live via zoom. Click here for details.
